How to activate and deactivate tips on your terminal
Tips are an additional service for our payment terminals. To enable the tip functionality on your terminal, please reach out to our terminal support.

Once the feature is enabled on the terminal, follow the instructions below to activate the tip functionality.
The procedure for activating and deactivating the tip function on your terminal depends on the terminal type. (To identify your terminal type, you can read the article: How to identify your terminal.)
Press menu
Press [8]
Swipe the Merchant card
Press [6]
Press [1]
Press [1]
Use the arrow keys to scroll through the menu until you get to "Tip". Press OK.
Now select the desired setting: Total amount, YES / NO. Select the desired setting with the arrow keys and press OK to save.
Press [STOP] twice to restart the terminal.

Then press 8
Type in service code 7-8-9-0
Press OK

Use the arrows under the display to navigate. Choose the wanted function such as "Add extra amount", "Total amount" or "Turn off"
Press OK
Please note, this will result in a restart.
Press MENU (or star (*) on Spire models)

Now select whether to enter an "Extra amount" or "Total amount" on the terminal
From the menu that opens, you can choose 1 - Disable/enable tipping, 2 - Total amount, 3 - tip amount. Select the desired setting with the arrow keys and save the selection with the OK key.
The tipping feature is currently not available for Castles Npay payment terminal.
Go to [Settings]
Go to [Business]
Go to [Enable Tips]
Choose the correct mode “Smart tips” or “Custom tips”
Choose tip type either “Fixed amount” or “Percentage”
