Easy - how long will a transaction stay reserved/authorized?

Reserved transactions are listed under New Payments in the Easy portal for 30 days from the reservation date. If you need to manually process a transaction after 30 days, you must search for the order.

For Visa, Mastercard, and Vipps, transactions are guaranteed to be processed within seven days from the reservation date.

You can attempt processing within 60 days, but after seven days, there is a risk that the card issuer will decline the charge. It is recommended to process the order before dispatching the goods.

For the customer, funds remain reserved during the bank’s reservation period, which varies by bank and can range from three to 30 days, with seven days being the most common. Once the reservation period expires, the funds are released back to the customer’s account.

For AfterPay (invoice and instalment payments), transactions must be processed within 30 days from the reservation date.

Orders older than 60 days (card and Vipps) or 30 days (AfterPay) cannot be processed. Unprocessed transactions older than 60 days are considered lost.
