Accessibility Statement for Netaxept Payment 1.0

Published: 25.06.2025
Updated: 26.06.2025

At Nets/Nexi, we believe everyone should be able to pay online - without barriers.

We're committed to making our checkout and payments services accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. As part of that commitment, we are actively working toward full compliance with the European Accessibility Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

While we have made significant progress, some areas are still being improved beyond the 28 June 2025 deadline.

Accessibility Audit

Netaxept Payment 1.0 is currently partially compliant with the WCAG 2.1 AA standard.

As part of our accessibility efforts, we worked with external specialists at Netlight to audit the Netaxept Payment 1.0 experience. Their review highlighted areas where we don’t formally fulfill the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.

We’re addressing these issues and making ongoing improvements to create a more accessible experience - for everyone.

Accessibility Features

Netaxept Payment 1.0 currently supports a range of accessibility-focused features, including:

  • Pure HTML: Structure A minimal, semantic HTML structure helps ensure better support for assistive technologies.

  • Logical Tab Order: Tab order follows the DOM, providing a logical and predictable navigation experience.

  • Form Basics: Inputs are clearly labeled, with a straightforward structure that supports ease of use.

  • Low Distraction: The lack of visual styling creates a simplified experience, which may benefit users with cognitive disabilities.

Continuous Improvements

Accessibility isn’t a one-time fix - it’s a continuous effort. Our product, design, and engineering teams are actively working to improve Netaxept Payment 1.0 by addressing known issues and making the experience better for everyone.
