Accessibility Statement for Easy Checkout
At Nets/Nexi, we believe everyone should be able to pay online - without barriers.
We're committed to making our checkout and payments services accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. Easy Checkout has been redesigned with accessibility as a core requirement. The latest design addresses the accessibility issues identified in the previous assessment and supports our commitment to the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
Accessibility Audit
The latest Easy Checkout design has been developed and validated against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
As part of our accessibility work, Easy Checkout was assessed with support from external accessibility specialists at Netlight. The previous review identified areas where the solution did not formally meet the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. These issues have been addressed as part of the new design.
Accessibility Features
Easy Checkout supports a range of accessibility-focused features, including:
Keyboard Navigation – All features and actions are operable via keyboard. Popovers close appropriately when focus moves away.
Screen Reader Support – We use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes so content, controls and popovers are announced clearly by assistive tech.
Text Alternatives – Icons and images include meaningful alt text or programmatic labels.
Accessible Forms and Controls – Interactive controls have accessible labels, and required actions include clear instructions.
Color & Text Contrast – Text and interface elements meet contrast guidelines for readability.
Resizable Text – Content remains readable and functional when text is resized up to 200%, respects browser text-size settings and works at a viewport width of 320 px.
Focus Indicators – A visible focus state helps keyboard users track their position during checkout.
Semantic Structure and Heading Hierarchy – Content uses a clear semantic structure and logical heading hierarchy.
Continuous Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. Our product, design and engineering teams continue to assess and improve Easy Checkout as standards, technologies and user needs evolve. We include accessibility considerations when developing and testing new functionality.
